Tommy Fowler Introduction
Tommy Fowler was born in Columbia in 1954 and earned both his Bachelor’s degree (1976) and Law degree (1979) from the University of South Carolina. He is admitted to practice in all South Carolina state courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for South Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Tommy has been practicing law for over 38 years and his personal injury practice focuses on motorcycle accidents, workers’ compensation, car and truck accidents, and more. He is a member of the National Trial Lawyers, Best Trial Lawyers of American and has collected millions of dollars for clients by verdicts and settlements.
Tommy is the son of the late Thomas K. Fowler, Sr. and Sydney Jane Compton Fowler. He has been married to Peggy Kidwell Fowler since 1985, and the couple have four children: Trisha Kim, a Realtor, Sydney, an elementary teacher who is married to Jeff Field, a Charlotte Fireman and Rescue Diver, Kaylyn, a relator, and T.K. Fowler, III, a graphic arts media designer for the University of South Carolina. They have three grandchildren, Brenon, Lucas, and Ava.
Tommy and Peggy live in northeast Columbia, SC, where they are active in various community projects, including working together as a family with Families Helping Families, helping homeless kids and other charitable projects. They enjoy traveling and meeting new people both at home and abroad.
He is an avid motorcycle rider having taken trips across the USA, into Canada to Newfoundland and many others. Tommy is a certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor as well a Rider Coach for the Harley-Davidson Riding Academy. He teaches at Harley-Davidson dealerships and Community Technical Colleges in both North and South Carolina. This experience provides him unique and important insight and experience when dealing with motorcycle related accidents, injuries, and losses that are different from automobile accidents.
